Happy Holidays To One And All

December is one of the busiest months of the year yet one of those months that conjure happy thoughts and profound memories. I can still remember the years when I really believed in Santa Claus and I would hang stockings by the window and my parents would concoct oh so believable stories about his existence. I can still remember that one day when I discovered that the Santa Claus I so firmly believed in was my Mom and Dad. I remember the endless parties and gift giving that I have been in as well as the annual family reunion that we have. And yes, I can still remember that Christmas day when my mom had to spank me for being a “bad” kid.

December is also the month when everyone suddenly becomes more generous and friendly. Although December for me now has evolved to the month of horrendous traffic and overcrowded malls and all, I still find the time to at least remember the main reason of what we celebrate for…the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ. Let’s all pause from all the things we do and reflect and thank Him for all the blessings that we have received and will be receiving. Let us pray for the recovery of those who are sick and suffering. Let us be thankful that we live to see another Christmas day.

Do you know my most favorite Christmas song? Click more to see…

It’s aptly called – The Christmas Song

Chestnuts roasting on an open fire,
Jack Frost nipping on your nose,
Yuletide carols being sung by a choir,
And folks dressed up like Eskimos.

Everybody knows a turkey and some mistletoe,
Help to make the season bright.
Tiny tots with their eyes all aglow,
Will find it hard to sleep tonight.

They know that Santa’s on his way;
He’s loaded lots of toys and goodies on his sleigh.
And every mother’s child is going to spy,
To see if reindeer really know how to fly.

And so I’m offering this simple phrase,
To kids from one to ninety-two,
Although its been said many times, many ways,
A very Merry Christmas to you…

Happy holidays to you all... (Photo Credit: askmewhats.com Editing: KT)
